Book four in this most helpful series, this one includes documents dating from 1751 to 1802 included in Deed Book H1 (recorded 1791 to 1802) and Deed Book A2 (recorded 1792 to 1798). While most records in the deed books involve deeds and mortgages, there are enough other records to add insight into life in early colonial and state history. Some examples of what one might discover in these early records: Agreement for Care, Bill of Sale, Commission of an Officer, Manumission, Power of Attorney, Pre-nuptial Agreement. Candace takes the time to explain all these documents in her introduction. Appendices explain terms, notes and comments about the abstracts, and persons mentioned in the records who lived outside the county. Index.
