Any member of the Ohio Genealogical Society who is a direct descendant of an individual who settled before 1821 in the area now known as the State of Ohio may become a member of the lineage society upon the acceptance of an application with proof of such descent and payment of the current application fee. This guide serves as an index to 3,351 applications proven for 9,999 Ohio settlers, accepted by OGS from 1964-2000. Included are the ancestor name, earliest year and county proved, year of birth and death, name of spouse, and member (packet) number. The proof documentation for each pioneer may be examined at the OGS Library.
