Chris obtained a collection of documents in 2007 from an antique dealer in Minerva, Ohio. Having an appreciation for ephemera and history, he wanted to make the contents of these documents available to both the researcher and hobbyist alike. The collection is primarily one of real estate documents with some documents regarding the Bachtel, Brownewell, Druschenbrau, Guirlinger, Ryan, Roberts, and Theobold families.
The documents span approximately the century between 1820 and 1920 and are a fine example of the kind of diligent recordkeeping that the early residents of Stark County, Ohio evinced time and again as they set down their roots in the land just south of the original Connecticut Western Reserve, and into the first part of the twentieth century.
