Largely unpublished, Orphans Court records reveal marriages, link children to parents, identify land transfers from parent to child, and provide other assorted, precious clues to genealogists and are every bit as valuable as abstracts of wills. Unfortunately, they are published less often, probably because of their complexity and the fact that they are often difficult to interpret.
